The 2 styles of clear panels are: 1) Flat surfaced fluted polycarbonate boards/ sheets, or 2) Corrugated lexan or polycarbonate panels.
The flat surfaced fluted polycarbonate sheets have become a popular choice in recent years due to their cost, weight and storage cpabilities. Each sheet can be custom cut and can be mounted with or without an aluminum U-shaped channel. The flat surfaced polycarbonate sheets are designed for an endless range of applications, for extreme weather conditions, and are known for their light-transmitting and reflective qualities. Polycarbonate panels are attractive, durable, easy to install and protect the people and property inside a structure from the elements and from damaging UV radiation.

Often simply referred to as "Lexan Panles" these sheets are all made of high quality polycarbonate thermoplastic ("Lexan" is a registered trademark of GE). After the hurricanes of the early 80s it was evident that consumers wanted something that was lighter thatn steel or aluminum and allowed light to come through while still protecting their homes.
